Anagha Kulkarni, Ph.D

Bio: Dr. Kulkarni is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at San Francisco State University.  Her core area of research, search engines, lies at the intersection of information retrieval, natural language processing, and machine learning. Along with her students she leverages her training in these fields to also investigate meaningful problems in biomedical informatics, and public health informatics.  She is involved in a Computer Science Education initiative, PINC (Promoting INclusivity in Computing, https://pincsfsu.com), that aims to increase diversity among computing-literate students.  For more information visit: http://online.sfsu.edu/ak/
